A large typical house of Pantelleria with a panoramic view to sunset and the Tunisian coasts.
It was built with the ruins of an old dammuso. The architects and the builders have been able to mix ancient techniques and methods with the most modern ones, obtaining maximum comfort and the best layout of spaces everythink with wisdom and skill.
This dammuso, in fact, has maintained all the typical characteristics of the oldest: the thickness of the walls is one meter, the external coating is of lava stone (of the original dammuso), which was worked manually by craftsmen, finally the large domes built with the traditional beaten tuff.
The most modern techniques have been used to obtain excellent thermal insulation and to obtain more internal space. 2 large, bright and completely independent bedrooms have been created; in addition, a very spacious room has been created, with a high vault suitable for a small place with a mezzanine; all rooms can get an air conditioning system, and in the main room you can place a stove or fireplace; a very large tank and an excellent phytodepuration system. Outside we find a beautiful and large Pantelleria garden, a must in every manor dammuso.
The property consists of two dammusi. The first largest as we have described is already habitable. The second dammuso (with separate sale) smaller consists of 3 rooms and is totally to be restored, it could be used (after its renovation) as an guests house.
The nearest village is Sibà with its characteristic village shop and its people always hospitable and generous to let you taste or sell or give away the products of their fields. Here there is a natural sauna, located between fields and woods. The village of Scauri, is 3 km near, where we find bars, restaurants, pharmacies, bakeries, etc.
The nearest bay is about 3 km away.
At the end, I think this is the perfect place to live, to enjoy every day the wonderful gifts of nature that surrounds us.
